The Andorran First Division, known as Primera Divisió, is the top tier in the football league system in Andorra. It was founded in 1995 and controlled by the Andorran Football Federation. There are eight teams, competing in the top division. Each team plays twice with each other throughout a season. After 14 rounds the four top teams in the table compete for the champion’s title and the lowest four teams compete for avoiding relegation to Segona Divisió, the second tier of Andorran football league system.
The league winner enters UEFA Champions League First qualifying round, league runners-up and Copa Constitució winners play in UEFA Europa League First qualifying round. Copa Constitució is the domestic cup tournament. All the matches in Andorra are played on Estadi Comunal d’Aixovall and Estadi Comunal d’Andorra la Vella.
