Airbus UK Broughton is a football club in Wales, located in Broughton. Initially that team was of the Airbus UK aerospace factory, named Vickers-Armstrong. Then its name was changed several times. The team began to compete in the Chester & District League and the Wrexham local leagues. They gradually advanced from the local leagues to the Cymru Alliance (the second tier), which happened in 1999/2000. In that period the team advanced from the Welsh National League (Wrexham Area) Division One to the Welsh National League Premier Division, then to the Cymru Alliance.
After four seasons there Airbus UK won promotion to the Premier League in 2003/04. It their first season the team narrowly avoided relegation and in the second season in the top flight they reached the semifinals of the domestic cup, where they lost at TNS Llansantffraid. In 2007/08 the name of Airbus UK was changed to Airbus UK Broughton F.C.
The team’s home ground, the Airfield, has a capacity for 1,600 spectators.
