Akzhayik is a football club from the city of Oral that was founded in 1968 under the title Uralets. During the 1990s the team changed several names including Zhangir, Naryn, Batys, the current name was given in 2004.
The club started playing in the Kazakhstan Premier League when it was founded in 1992, yet three seasons later Akzhayik was relegated to the First Division. Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s the club was floating up and down top flight and first division, even dropping to the second tier of the championship once.
The home ground of the club is Petr Atoyan Stadium that can hold up to 8.320. The chairman is Rashid Khusnutdinov.
