Alcorcon (the full name Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón) is a Spanish football side that was organized in 1971 by Dionisio Muñoz Jerez. From the 1971 to 1979 Alcorcon played in the regional leagues, earning promotion to the third division only in 1980. The side competed at that level for almost a decade.
In the season 2010/2011 the side appeared in the second league to the first time and the following season even finished 4th.The farthest Alcorcon progressed in Copa del Rey was the round of last 16 in the 2011/2012 campaign, when the team defeated Real Madrid 4-1 on aggregate, but stumbled on Racing.
The home stadium of the team is called Santo Domingo and it can hold up to 5,400 football fans.
