AmaZulu is a football club in South Africa, based in Durban. Founded by workers in 1932 the club was named Zulu Royals. In 2012, they celebrated their 80th anniversary and on 18 July faced Manchester United in a friendly match.
AmaZulu’s home ground, where they play their home matches, is the Moses Mabhida Stadium. It was built as one of the stadiums for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Its capacity is 54,000.
Among the teams achievements are the National Premier Soccer League title in 1972, Coca-Cola Cup in 1992, First Division Coastal Stream wins in 2000/01 and 2002/03 and the winning at Mvela Platinum play-offs in 2007.
