Anorthosis Famagusta FC is a football club in Cyprus. Initially the club was located in Famagusta and now it is in Larnaca. It was formed in 1911.
The period of success was between the 1950s and in the first half of 1960s. At that period Anorthosis was Cypriot champion six times, they also won four Cup titles between 1949 and 1964. The team won two more Cypriot Cup tournaments in 1770s and the following period of achievements began in mid-1990s. Between 1995 and 2008 Anorthosis won seven league titles and for Cup trophies. After the victory in the 2007/08 season the team got a chance to qualify for the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League Group Stage, but failed to advance to the knock out stage.
The following season they failed to make it through the second qualifying round of UEFA Europa League. In 2010/11 and 2011/12 they eliminated at the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
Anorthosis play their home matches at Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium, which has a capacity of 11,930.
