FC Banants is an Armenian football club from Yerevan founded in 1992.
The team got off to a flying start in the Premier League as they finished as runners-up in their debut season in the top flight and claimed their first silverware in the shape of the Armenian Cup. In between 1995 and 2007, the club mostly finished in mid-table mediocrity. Their fortunes promised to take a turn to the better in 2006 when Banants finished as Armenian Premier League runners-up. In 2007, they recorded their second cup success.
Since 2003, the team regularly feature in UEFA competitions. However, the farthest they have progressed to in Europe was the second qualifying round in the 2005/06 UEFA Cup.
The team play their home matches at Banants Stadium in Yerevan which can hold up to 6,000 people.
