Club Atlético Belgrano is a soccer club located in Córdoba, Argentina. Belgrano’s total comprises 31 Liga Cordobesa de Fútbol titles.
On March 19, 1905 a group of youngsters established a new club. They called themselves Belgrano in honour of General Manuel Belgrano, the national hero of Argentina. That year also saw the club play its first fixture. Three years later Belgrano was admitted to the second tier of the Córdoba league. That season was a sweet moment for the team as they managed to win the league.
After the establishment of the Federación Cordobesa de Fútbol in 1913, the club secured the first championship. The following season witnessed the first Córdoba Derby between Talleres and Belgrano. In 1992 Belgrano gained promotion to the Primera División for the first time in its history where it performed until 1996.
In the 2010/2011 season Los Piratas outclassed River Plate to ensure promotion to the elite division again.
The club is currently managed by Ricardo Zielinski. The most outstanding players who defended Belgrano`s colours are Osvaldo Ardiles, Mario Bolatti, José Luis Cuciuffo, Carlos Bossio and Luis Galván.
