History and achievements
F.C. Copenhagen, nicknamed the Lions (Løverne), is a football club in Denmark founded in 1992 when FC Kjøbenhavns Boldklub and Boldklubben 1903 merged. Nevertheless the club had more than a hundred-year history. After its creation in 1992 the club succeeded in the 1992/93 Superliga season and overcame Odense BK and Brøndby IF to win the league. The following season they finished second and since then their results declined. In 1995 and 1997 they won DBU Pokalen, in 1996 they won Danish League Cup, in 1995 they were Danish Super Cup winners. In 2000, Roy Hodgson took charge of the team and F.C. Copenhagen improved their performance and in 2000s then they proceed to win numerous titles becoming one of the Danish top clubs. The team qualified for 2006/07 UEFA Champions League.
The team plays the home matches at Parken Stadium, which has 38,065 seats. Their owner is Parken Sport & Entertainment A/S. Its colors are white and black.
