Dinamo Zagreb is a Croatian football club located in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. It is the most entitled and revered side in the football history of Croatia. The rivalry with Hajduk Split goes under the name of Eternal derby.
Dinamo was created on April 24, 1911 in order to replace such football clubs as HAŠK, Građanski and Concordia. After gaining entry to the Yugoslav First League in 1946, the Blues earned an impressive second-place finish in their debut season. A year later Dinamo claimed its first league title. The team’s total comprises 14 Prva HNL titles, 12 Croatian Cups and 4 Supercups. The club has surged to a spectacular double on 7 occasions so far. In the 2009/2010 campaign the Blues took part in the Europa League but failed to progress to the knock-out stages, finishing third in their group. In 2011 and 2012 the side competed in the Champions League. The club is the current champion of the Prva HNL which is its seventh back-to-back title.
In 1912 Dinamo Zagreb took residence in their new home – Maksimir Stadium.
