Doxa Katokopia is a football club in Cyprus. Its name Doxa means Glory. The club was founded in 1954 and had located in Katokopia till 1974, when the city was occupied by Turkey. They moved to Peristerona, which is close to Katokopia and their home ground there is Peristerona Stadium with a capacity of 4,000. But between 2007 and 2011 they used Makario Stadium as their home ground.
Doxa won their first ever promotion to the top division in 1998 but the following season finishing second from the bottom they were relegated. In 2000 the team advanced to the top flight and since then had a period of ups and downs.
Since 2007 the situation changed and they competed in the first division till their relegation to the second division in 2011. In 2011/12 they were runners-up in the second division and won promotion to the top flight.
