Dundalk is a professional football side located in Dundalk, Ireland. Established in 1903, it is the second most titled team in the history of the League of Ireland.
Dundalk currently competes in the Airtricity Premier League, which is the top national league in Ireland. The home ground of the club is Oriel Park that has a capacity of 4,500 people, including 3,000 seats. The team plays in black and white, therefore it is often nicknamed as the Lilywhites. Dundalk and Drogheda United are long-standing arch rivals.
In the 1970s and 1980s the club demonstrated impressive display in European competitions. Dundalk was undefeated at home for 5 years, playing against such top-flight European sides, as PSV, Hajduk Split, Celtic, Porto and Tottenham Hotspur.
One of the most titled team in Ireland, Dundalk won the national league 9 times. The club also lifted 9 FAI Cups, 4 League of Ireland Cups, 2 First Division titles, 2 League of Ireland Shields and other trophies.
