History and achievements
El Jaish Sports Club is a Qatar football club, founded in 2007. They won promotion to the first division winning Qatari Second Division in 2011. The following season they finished the Qatar Stars League runners-up, which provided them with a chance to play in the 2013 AFC Champions League.
In 2012/13 El Jaish was third in the top division and claimed the Qatari Stars Cup victory.
Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha is the team’s home ground. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 spectators.
