El Tanque Sisley is a Uruguayan football club from Montevideo currently playing in the Primera División.
The team was organized in 1955 in Montevideo. It got this curious name after an oil-tank found in the city. In the course of several decades the club led a largely unremarked existence rotating between lower leagues of the Uruguayan football system. However, El Tanque sparked furor during their first run into the top flight in 1991: in one week the Primera División newcomer beat heavyweights Nacional 2-0 and Peñarol 1-0. However, such impressive victories couldn’t save them from relegation that season.
El Tanque returned to the top league only in 2010 and compete there till the date. In the 2010/11 season, they finished 9th in the Primera División, making their best finish ever.
The team play their home matches at Estadio Victor Della Valle with the capacity of 6,000 seats.
