Gaziantepspor is a famous Turkish club which finished in the 10th place of the Super Lig last year. It was founded on February 25, 1969 in Gaziantep. The club’s nickname is Şahinler (The Falcons) due to the bird shown on the emblem.
The club owns the Gaziantep Kamil Ocak Stadium with the capacity of about 17 thousand seats.
Currently İbrahim Halil Kızıl and Hikmet Karaman are the club’s president and head coach respectively.
The team cannot be called a successful trophy winner – all seasons have featured stable average level displays. The greatest accomplishments so far have been bronze medals of the 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 national championships.
