Hapoel Ironi Nir Ramat HaSharon

History and achievements

Hapoel Ironi Nir is a football team from the city of Ramat HaSharon. The original name of the side was Hapoel Ramat HaSharon. In 1984 Ironiplayed in the Liga Artzit (the second tier of football pyramid) and a season later was close to receiving promotion to the top flight, yet the side did not manage to win Hapoel Jerusalem in the decisive match.

In the early 1990s saw the team competing in the minor leagues and it was not until the season 2010/2011 that the side finished atop of the Liga Leumit and was promoted to the first league.

The farthest the team progressed in the Israel State Cup is the semifinal of the 2009/2010 campaign.

The only silverware the side claimed was the 2010/2011 Toto Cup.
