Hapoel Petah Tikva is a football club that was created in 1934. The first major success of the club was the 1945 national cup final, where they were defeated by Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The most glorious time in the club’s history dates back to the 1950s and early 1960s. The team claimed six championships including four consecutive titles from 1959 to 1963. Throughout its history the side reached eight cup finals, yet won only two. The 1970s saw the side sliding into second league, though the club bounced back in 1984.
The last major success of the team is the 2006 Toto Cup.
The club’s home ground is called HaMoshava. It has a capacity of 11,500. The official colors are blue and white.
