Hapoel Rishon LeZion is an Israeli football club, one of the first football team created in the country. The club was established in 1940. The highest place of the team in the top flight was runner-up position in 1946 and 1996.
The team competed in the first tier in the seasons 1978/1979, 1980/1982. The 1990s saw the club stay in the Israeli Premier League for 9 successive seasons.
In 2012 the team claimed the Toto Cup Leumit.
In 2008 the club was acquired by the businessmen Raviv Sapir and Ron Hadad. The club’s chairman is Raviv Sapir. The home ground is Haberfeld stadium that has a capacity of 6,000.
