History and achievements
Haras El-Hodood SC is an Egyptian football club founded in 1950 in Alexandria.
The team competed in the second tier for a long time. In the 2002/03, the club enjoyed a meteoric rise winning back its ticket to the Egyptian Premier League. Haras El-Hodood has never won the EPL title. The farthest they have progressed was the third-place Premier League finish in the 2003/04 season.
The club’s modest success changed to a rise in 2009 when they claimed their first silverwares in the shape of the Egypt Cup and Egyptian Super Cup. The team continued their win streak in 2010 as their trophy cabinet welcomed another Egypt Cup honor. The same year Haras El-Hodood finished a runner-up in the Egyptian Super Cup losing 0-1 to Al Ahly in the final match. On the continental level, the club made five appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup climbing up to the quarter-finals at the utmost.
The team play their home matches at Harras El-Hedoud Stadium which can hold up to 22,000 people.
