Helsingborgs IF is a football club in Sweden, located in Helsingborg. The club is a result of the merger of Stattena and Svithiod, which happened in 1907. Between 1924 and 1968 the team competed in the top flight, claiming the league title for five times. After that Helsingborgs faced relegation and featured in lower leagues for 24 seasons. They re-appeared in the top flight in 1993. In 1999 they became Allsvenskan winners and the following season they were runners-up. In 2006 Helsingborgs finished the league fourth and won Svenska Cupen at the expense of Gefle IF. In 2007 they were eighth in the league and reached the group stage of the UEFA Cup and second in its group, they eliminated from the round of 32.
In 2010 Helsingborgs was league runner-up and in 2011 the team claimed Allsvenskan victory and Svenska Cupen win. In 2011 and 2012 they were Svenska Supercupen holders.
Their home ground is Olympia, which has a capacity of 17,200 spectators.
