History and achievements
Hull City is an English football club from the city of Kingston upon Hull. The team was created in 1904, with several attempts to establish a football squad in the city failing due to high popularity of rugby in the area.
Hull played its first game on 1 September 1904 against Notts County. The match was attended by 6,000 supporters and ended in a draw. Hull is the team that yo-yoed between minor divisions for most of the 20th century.
The only run of the club in the top tier started in the season 2007/2008, yet two seasons later the side was relegated to the Championship. The farthest Hull progressed in the cup competitions was the semi-final of the FA Cup in 1930.
The team hosts its home games at KC Stadium that can hold up to 25,586.The nickname is the Tigers. The title stems from black and amber colors of the side.
In 2012/2013 Steve Bruce guided the team to the Premier League after securing runner-up position in the Championship.
