Livorno Calcio is a football club from Italy founded in 1915 in Livorno.
The club began their way in Italian lower leagues. Their first run into the Serie B dates back to the 1931/32 season. In the 1930s, Livorno bounced up and down between the first and second tiers. The 1940s saw a fruitful period for the team as they stayed in Serie A for seven consecutive seasons and recorded their best top-flight finish as runners-up in the 1942/43 campaign.
Since 1950s till 1990s, Livorno rotated between the third and second divisions until 1991 when the club was cancelled and had to start from the sixth tier. However, the team didn’t lose ground and digged themselves out of a hole in the 2004/05 season when they broke into the top flight once again after 55 years in wilderness. In the 2006/07 campaign, Livorno made their first ever run into the UEFA Cup. Having finished at the bottom of the 2007/08 Serie A table, the team relegated to Serie B once again and competed there until 2013 when they made it to Serie A through play-offs, beating Brescia and Empoli. However, in 2014 the club returned to Serie B.
The team play their home matches at Stadio Armando Picchi in Livorno that can hold up to 19,238 spectators.
