Lugo is a Spanish football side that represents the city of Lugo. The team was established in 1953. White and red and Luguiño are the most famous nicknames of the team.
The side started competing in the third league in the mid1950s, but it was only in the season 1986/1987 that Lugo was promoted to Segunda División (B). In the season 1992/1993 the Lugo appeared in the second division for the first time.
