Lyngby Boldklub is a football club in Denmark. It was founded in 1921 and initially it was named Lyngby Boldklub af 1921.
In 1983 the team their first league title and in 1992 Lyngby BK became Danish champions for the second time. Lyngby BK won the Danish Cup in 1984, 1985 and in 1990, twice the finished the tournament runners-up, in 1970 and 1980.
In 2001 the club faced bankruptcy and relegated to the amateur league Danmarksserien but the following season promoted to the 2nd Division. In 2005, the team promoted to the Danish 1st Division because they had finished the season third and in the 2006/07 season they managed to win the 1st Division thus moving to the Superliga. But the team couldn’t remain among the strongest Danish clubs and in 2007/08 they suffered relegation from there.
The club’s home ground is Lyngby Stadion, its capacity is 8,000.
