Maccabi Petah Tikva is an Israeli football club. The team was founded by a group of students from the city of Constantinople in 1912. The first major trophy of the club was claimed in 1936 when Maccabi defeated in the final Hakoah Tel Aviv 1–0.
The season 1951/1952 saw the team finishing as runners-up to Maccabi Tel Aviv and also winning the State Cup, defeating in the final Maccabi Tel Aviv 1–0. The following season they finished second again, though Maccabi forward Eliezer Spiegel was awarded a top scorer award with 16 goals from 22 matches.
In 1995 the club won the Toto Cup for the first time in its history, the achievement that was repeated in 2000 and 2004.
In 2001 the club reached the cup final for the first time in 49 years, yet lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv 3–0. In the season 2003/2004 the side finished third in the league, in the season 2004/2005 they occupied second position
The home ground of the club is HaMoshava Stadium with a capacity of 11,500.
