The New Saints of Oswestry Town & Llansantffraid is a football club in Wales, founded in 1959 and initially named Llansantffraid F.C. They competed in the fourth level of Welsh league system, then advanced to the Central Wales League (the third tier), climbed to the Cymru Alliance and promoted to the League of Wales in 1992/93.
Llansantffraid was the Welsh Cup winner in 1996 and was renamed to Total Network Solutions Llansantffraid F.C. after its sponsor. In 2003 the team merged with Oswestry Town F.C. In the 2004/05 season the team won the League title and the domestic cup. In 2006 the sponsor changed, British Telecom became at the helm and the team’s mane was changed to The New Saints F.C.
Throughout its history and till 2012 the team was the Welsh champion in 1999/00, 2004/05, 2005/06, 2006/07, 2009/10 and 2011/12. In 1995/96, 2004/05, 2011/12 The New Saints were the Welsh Cup winners.
Park Hall Stadium, where The New Saints play their home games, is located in Oswestry and has a capacity of 2,000.
