New York Red Bulls is a football club from New York, USA. Team’s original name was New York/New Jersey MetroStars up to 1996, then MetroStars from 1996 to 2006. Since 9 March 2006 the club is officially named as New York Red Bulls according to the name of the company (Red Bull GmbH) that purchased the club.
The Bulls managed to finish runner-ups in the MLS Cup in 2008. They were the winners of MLS Eastern Conference in 2000 and 2010 and MLS western Conference in 2008.
Red Bull Arena with the capacity of 25,000 is the club’s home arena.
Mike Petke is the New York head coach and Thierry Henry is the captain.
