Östers Idrottsförening is a football club in Sweden, established in 1930. It is located in Växjö and its home venue in Myresjöhus Arena, which has a capacity of 12,000.
The team initially competed in amateur league and advance to the third level of Swedish league system in 1947. In 1960s they advanced to the second tier and in 1968 Öster made their debut in the top division, having beaten IK Brage. They marked their debut season in the highest division with the league title. Since then they became Swedish Champions in 1978, 1980 and 1981.
After that Öster faced decline and in 1998 they were relegated from Allsvenskan. Since then the team mostly played in Superettan, winning it in 2001 and 2012, in 2005 they were Superettan runners-up.
