SC Paderborn 07 is a German club currently competing in Bundesliga. It is a club of meager resources and has never claimed any major silverware since its foundation in 1985. Throughout their history, the team constantly rotated between the third and second divisions. However, Paderborn gained notoriety after the German Cup match against Hamburger SV on 21 August 2004 as it was found out later that the game was fixed.
The team play their home matches at Benteler Arena in Paderborn with the capacity of 15,000 seats.
