Petrojet FC is an Egyptian Premier League club founded in 1980 in Suez. It belongs to a prominent Egyptian petrol company, PetroJet.
The first run of the club in the top flight dates back to the 2006/07 season. The team got off to a fine start then, climbing up to the seventh position in the table. They enjoyed a good rise when they made it the third in the 2008/09 season. The club is proud of their players Alaa Ibrahim and Eric Bekoe who were awarded the Top Goal Scorer in the Egyptian Premier League titles while playing for the side.
Since 2002 till 2011, Petrojet made 7 appearances in the Egyptian Cup and the farthest the team have progressed in cup competitions were the semi-finals in the 2008/09 campaign where the club lost to Haras El Hodood.
Petrojet got a first taste of international football participating in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2010, though the club was eliminated after the first round of 16.
The team are often nicknamed the Egyptian Barcelona for their rush play. They hold their home matches at the 25,000 seater Suez Stadium.
