MKS Pogoń Szczecin is a football club in Poland, established in 1948 by the Poles from Lwów, who moved west because of the Soviet annexation of the eastern part of Poland in 1945. The founders had supported Pogoń Lwów and then created Pogoń Szczecin and the colors of the new club were the same as Pogoń Lwów had.
Before the 2006/07 season the team competed in the Ekstraklasa but in 2006/07 they faced relegation and due to the financial problems it relegated to the Zachodniopomorska Group of the Fourth League. Then they promoted to the Zachodnia group of II Liga (the third division) and finishing second they promoted to I Liga (the Polish First League). In the 2011/12 season they were runners-up thus earned promotion to the top flight (Ekstraklasa).
Pogoń Szczecin is nicknamed Portowcy or Duma Pomorza, they play their home matches at the Stadion Florian Kryger which has a capacity of 18,027 spectators.
