SK Rapid is an Austrian football club from Vienna. It was founded in 1899 as the First Workers’ Football Club.
The club won 32 Austrian Bundesliga titles, celebrated the victory in the Austrian Cup 14 times and became a three-time winner of the Austrian Supercup. SK Rapid won the German Championship in 1941 and the German Cup in 1938. Besides, the club is a two-time winner of both the Mitropa Cup and the Intertoto Cup.
SK Rapid plays its home games at the 18,500 capacity Gerhard Hanappi Stadium. At present Rudolf Edlinger is the chairman of SK Rapid, and Peter Schöttel is the club’s coach. SK Rapid’s nickname is the Green-Whites because the team wears green and white uniform.
