São Caetano is a Brazilian football club from the city of São Caetano founded in 1989.
The club began their way in lower professional leagues of Brazilian football. In 2000, they came into footballing forefront. São Caetano got off to a flying start in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B as they finished as runners-up in two consecutive seasons, in 2000 and 2001. In 2002, the team produced a brilliant display in the Copa Libertadores as they recorded the second-place finish losing to Paraguayan club Olimpia in the finals. In 2007, the club’s fortunes changed and they slipped to the second tier. In 2013 São Caetano fell further to Serie C.
São Caetano players have blue kits and they are often nicknamed the Blue Bird or the Big Blue. They play their home matches at Anacleto Campanella stadium which can host up to 22,738 people.
