FK Spartak Subotica is a Serbian club based in Subotica. The club was founded in 1945 and named after Jovan Mikić ‘Spartak’, a Serbian hero. In 2008, Spartak merged with Zlatibor Voda and gained the name Spartak Zlatibor Voda Subotica. However, in 2013 it was renamed back to Spartak Subotica.
The players of the club performed in the first after-war national championship and have never been relegated to the third division. One of Spartak’s most memorable achievements is progressing to the 1993/1994 Yugoslav Cup finals, where they lost to capital side Partizan.
The club’s home ground is Subotica City Stadium with 13,000 seats. Their home colours are blue and white.
