Stevenage is an English football club that was established in 1976 after Stevenage Athletic was declared bankrupt. The side joined the United Counties League in 1980 and finished atop of the tournament in the inaugural season, also claiming the United Counties League Cup.
During the early 1990s the side earned three promotions in four seasons, reaching the Conference National in 1994. Despite winning the tournament in the season 1995/1996 Stevenage did not receive promotion to the Football League due to insufficient stadium facilities.
The side won the league once against during the season 2009/2010 and that time was given a ticket to the Football League.
Recently the club enjoyed success in the national cup competitions as they won Kidderminster Harriers 3-2 in the FA Trophy final. The club repeated the achievement in 2009 overcoming York City 2–0 in the final.
The home ground is Broadhall Way that can hold up to 6,722.
