Ariël Jacobs is a retired Belgium footballer, currently managing F.C. Copenhagen. He was born in 1953 and spent his professional playing career at Diegem Sport where he spent five seasons and then moved to Racing White for three years. After that he returned to Diegem Sport, where he played till the end of his career, but had two short spells at Halle and Diest. During his last stint at Diegem Sport Jacobs was a player-coach.
In 1989, he took over as a manager of Belgium U21 and guided the team for nine years. In 1998, Ariël Jacobs became the head coach of Molenbeek whom he guided till 2001, when he switched to La Louvière. The latest one won Azwan Yahaya Cup in 2000/01 and Belgian Cup in 2002/03 under his guidance. In 2006 and 2007 he had two sport periods at Lokeren and Mouscron.
Jacobs was appointed the manager of Anderlecht in 2007 and worked there till 2012. He brought them to Belgian Cup win in 2007/08, twice they won Belgian First Division (2009/10 and 2011/12) and in 2010 Anderlecht won the Belgian Supercup.
