Aykut Kocaman is a retired Turkish striker and a manager. He was born on 5 April 1965 in Geyve, Sakarya, Turkey.
Aykut embarked on his professional career at Sakaryaspor in 1984 and left the club in 1988 after helping them to win the Turkish Cup in the 1987/88 season. He went on with Fenerbahçe where he scored 150 goals in 210 matches during an eight-year spell. Kocaman got off to a flying star at the club winning the Süper Lig in his debut 1988/89 season and was an instrumental player during the 1995/96 season pulling it off as a winner again. Since 1996, the forward played for Istanbulspor before his retirement in 2000.
Aykut Kocaman started out his managerial career with Istanbulspor in 2000 where he coached for four years. He went on coaching Malatyaspor and Konyaspor in the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons respectively. Then Kocaman spent three years at the helm of Ankaraspor but he enjoyed a meteoric rise taking over the coaching reins at Fenerbahçe in 2010. Kocaman made a good start at the team leading them to the Süper Lig victory in his debut 2010/11 season. Thanks to his work, the club finished as the Süper Lig runner-up in the next season, but recorded the Turkish Cup and Turkish Super Cup victories instead.
At the end of 2012/2013 season Kocaman was released from the club.
