Bobby Williamson is a former football player from Scotland. His playing career started in 1980 in the football club Clydebank, where a talented striker played in 70 matches and scored 28 goals. After spending three years in the team, Williamson moved to one of the most prominent Scottish football clubs – Rangers.
In 1886 Williamson moved to England as West Bromwich Albion offered him a two-year deal. During his spell in the English top division, the player played in 53 matches for West Bromwich, netting the ball 11 times. Later he moved to Rotherham United, where he made 93 appearances and scored 49 goals. Williamson returned to Scotland in 1990, playing for Kilmarnock Football Club till 1995.
Bobby Williamson entered into coaching in 1996, taking over Alex Totten Kilmarnock head coach. Under his helm the team tasted the honors of the 1997 Scottish Cup, outperforming Falkirk in the final 1-0. The coach helped the team to finish high on the table and even guided the side into the European tournaments.
In 2002 Williamson joined Hibernian which he saved from relegation and brought to the 2004 Scottish League Cup Final, where they lost 2-0 to Levingston.
After a short spell in Chester City from 2007 to 2008, he was appointed as Uganda national team coach consequently leading the team to the victory in 2011 CECAFA Cup.
In 2013 Williamson took over at Gor Mahia football club from Kenya.
