Branislav ‘Branko’ Brnović was born in 1967 in Titograd, Yugoslavia. Today he is the head coach of the Montenegro national football team.
He started his professional playing career in FK Budućnost Podgorica in 1987. In 1991 he joined FK Partizan and the team won the First League of FR Yugoslavia in 1992/93.
In 1994 Branislav Brnović moved to Spain where he played for RCD Espanyol till 2000.
He returned to Montenegro and finished his playing career after the 2006/07 season in FK Kom.
Branislav Brnović represented Yugoslavia youth national team and later Yugoslavia national football team. When he played for the youth team, they won 1987 FIFA World Youth Championship and finished runner-up in the 1990 European Under-21 Football Championship.
Having finished playing career Branko Brnović became an assistant coach of the Montenegro national team. In 2011 Zlatko Kranjčar was sacked and Brnović replaced him.
