Carlo Ancelotti was born in Reggiolo, Italy and currently is a head coach of Real Madrid.
When a footballer, he played in the position of midfielder. He took part in the 1990 FIFA World Cup and made 26 appearances for the Italy national team as well as won some major European and Italian trophies with AS Roma and AC Milan.
Carlo began his coaching career in 1995 in Reggiana. Next season he already worked in Parma where he had a contract till 1999. Till 2009, he coached such famous clubs as Juventus (helped to the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1999), AC Milan (won all major Italian titles and major international ones including two UEFA Champions League Cups) and Chelsea FC (led to the 2010 ‘Double’).
On May 22, 2011 he was fired from the latter and on December 30 of the same year he signed a contract with a famous French club – Paris Saint-Germain.
After guiding the club to the French title in 2012/2013 the Italian was lured away to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
