Chris Janssens is a Belgian football coach and former defender born on 12 June 1969 in Genk, Belgium.
He began his football grooming at Sint-Niklase youth system before reaching the first team in 1987. After an eight-year spell at the professional team of the club, Janssens moved to Lokeren where played for six years. In 2001, he joined the Dutch side Willem II for two seasons. In between 2003 and 2006, the Belgian defender played for Westerlo and Zulte Waregem. Since 2007 till 2009, Janssens defended the colours of Lierse before retirement in 2009.
In 2009, Chris Janssens embarked on coaching career being appointed an assistant coach at his latest club Lierse. Since 2011, he rules the roost as a head coach of the Belgian club.
