Alexi Stival, commonly known as Cuca, is a Brazilian coach and former professional footballer. He was born on 7 July 1963 in Curitiba, Brazil.
For 12 years of professional career, since 1984 till 1996, Cuca played as a forward for Santa Cruz-RS, Juventude, Palmeiras, Santos, Portuguesa, Remo, Chapecoense and Spanish Real Valladolid. He was the part of Grêmio when the club won the Copa do Brasil and Campeonato Gaúcho in 1989. In 1991, Cuca played for Internacional and pulled off the season as the Campeonato Gaúcho winner.
Cuca took up coaching in 1998. He trained a myriad of clubs such as Avaí, Internacional de Limeira, Goiás, São Paulo, Coritiba, São Caetano, Fluminense and others. He graced Botafogo helping the club to win Taça Rio in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, Cuca brought the Taça Rio victory to Flamengo. In the 2010/11 season, he was in charge of Cruzeiro and helped them to finish as a runner-up in the Campeonato Brasileiro in 2010 and triumph in the Campeonato Mineiro in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, Cuca was a coach of Atlético Mineiro and led the club to their 41st Campeonato Mineiro title.
In December 2013 he moved to China nand took charge of Shandong Luneng.
