Eduard Malofeyev is a retired Soviet footballer and football manager. He was born in 1942 and began to play for Avangard Kolomna in 1960. In 1961 he moved to Spartak Moscow and in 1963 Malofeyev joined Dinamo Minsk. There he played until 1972, made 278 appearances and scored 114 goals. In 1982 he helped his side to win the Soviet Top League. He was called up to play for the USSR national team between 1963 and 1968 and made 40 appearances.
In 1972 Malofeyev began to work as a youth coach of Dinamo Minsk youth team, then was an assistant coach and between 1978 and 1983 he guided the senior team. He led them to the Soviet Top League title. Between 1984 and 1986 he was the manager of the USSR national team, then was responsible for many team among them were Dinamo Moscow, v Dinamo Minsk, Dinamo-Gazovik Tyumen, Anzhi Makhachkala. In 2000 he was appointed the head coach of the Belarus national team and worked there until 2003. He guided other squads after that, was a sport director of Heart of Midlothian in 2006, in 2008/09 managed Dynamo Saint Petersburg, then he was at the helm of Shakhtyor Soligorsk, Pskov-747 Pskov.
