A retired Swedish football player, Erik Hamren coaches the Sweden national football team.
He was born in 1957 in Ljusdal, Sweden, where he played in local clubs, and finished his playing career at the age of 18.
Hamren coached such clubs as Enköpings SK, Väsby IK, IF Brommapojkarna, Vasalunds IF, Degerfors IF, AIK, Örgryte IS, Aalborg BK and Rosenborg BK.
Under his guidance AIK won Svenska Cupen twice, Örgryte IS won Svenska Cupen in 1999/2000 season, in 2007/08 season Aalborg BK won Danish Superliga Championship.
Hamren headed the Swedish national team in 2009 but double-jobbed as Rosenborg manager till the expiry of the contract in September 2010.
