Ersun Yanal is a Turkish professional coach currently at the helm of Eskişehirspor in the Turkish Super Lig. He was born on 17 December 1961 in Izmir, Turkey.
Ersun started out his managerial career with Denizlispor in 1996 and went on with Ankaragücü in 2000. He made a great impact as a manager improving their game immensely and leading the team to good finishes in the 2000/01 and 2001/02 seasons. In 2002, Yanal moved to coach Gençlerbirliği. During his two-year coaching spell at the club, Yanal led them twice to the Turkish Cup second-place finish losing to Trabzonspor in both cases. In the 2004/05 season, the coach was at the helm of the Turkey national team. In 2005 he took charge over Manisaspor and in 2007 moved to Trabzonspor. In December 2011, Ersun Yanal took over reins at Eskişehirspor and coaches the club till today.
