Eugenio Corini is a retired Italian midfielder and a coach. He was born on 30 July 1970 in Bagnolo Mella, Italy.
At the beginning of his professional career Eugenio spent for seasons at Brescia before being signed by Juventus in 1990. Since 1992, he moved from one club to another until finally got a toehold at Chievo in 1998. It was to Corini’s immense credit that the team won promotion to Serie A in the 2001/02 season for the first time in their history and qualified to the UEFA Cup in the next campaign. Corini scored a total of 27 goals in 134 matches during a five-year stint at the club. In 2003, he moved to Palermo where spent 4 seasons amassing 128 appearances. In 2007, the player signed for Torino and played for the club until his retirement in 2009.
In 2010, Corini embarked on his managerial career coaching such lower league teams as Portosummaga, Crotone and Frosinone. In October 2012, he took over the coaching reins at his former side Chievo and was at the helm of the team till the end of the season.
