Frank Walter Yallop is a Canadian football coach and former professional defender. He was born on 4 April 1964 in Watford, England.
Frank embarked on his professional career at the English side Ipswich Town F.C in 1983. He was an instrumental player during the 1993/94 season when his club won the Football League Second Division. Overall, Yallop made a total of 389 appearances for Ipswich Town during a 13-year stint. In 1996, he joined Tampa Bay Mutiny in MLS and helped the side to pull of the season as the MLS Supporters’ Shield winner. All in all, Yallop played in 88 matches for the club during three seasons.
Frank Yallop began his managerial career at San Jose Earthquakes in 2001. He earned the club two MLS Cup victories in 2001 and 2003 and got his first MLS Coach of the Year award in 2001. Since 2004 till 2006, Yallop was at the helm of the Canada national team. In 2006, he took over reins at Los Angeles Galaxy but in 2008 returned to San Jose Earthquakes and coaches the team till the date.
