Guillermo Barros Schelotto is the head coach of Lanús. He is a retired Argentine footballer, born in 1973 in La Plata, Argentina.
Schelotto graduated from Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata and went on playing for the senior team from 1991 to 1997. During his spell there he featured in 181 matches and scored 45 goals.
In 1997, he moved to Boca Juniors and spent there ten years. He became one of the key players though had several injuries and missed internationals, in 2003 he helped the team to win the Copa Libertadores, all in all Schelotto playing in 302 matches for Boca Juniors he netted 87 goals. In 2007, the Argentine footballer moved to the USA signing with Columbus Crew. The next year he helped the team to win the 2008 MLS Cup. Schelotto played for the club until 2010 and soon retired as a football player.
From 1995 to 1999 he won 5 caps for the national football team and in 1995 he was a part of the team winning the Under-23 Pan American Games.
In July 2012, Schelotto took over his managerial career becoming the head coach of Club Atlético Lanús.
