Hikmet Karaman is a Turkish professional football coach born on 9 March 1960 in Tirebolu, Turkey.
Hikmet embarked on his managerial career as an assistant coach at Kocaelispor in 1994. After short spells at Zeytinburnuspor, Erzurumspor and Çaykur Rizespor in 1998 and 1999, he took over Adanaspor and digged them out of the last place in the Turkish Super League table and helped to end the 2000/01 season in the first eight. Karaman made a great impact as a manager of Kocaelispor who won the 2001/02 Turkish Cup beating Beşiktaş in the final match. He recorded two TFF First League wins: one with Çaykur Rizespor in 2002/03 season and the other with Antalyaspor in the 2007/08 campaign, thus leading the teams to the top tier.
In 2012, Hikmet Karaman took over reins at Gaziantepspor in the Turkish Süper Lig but was soon invited to a promising side Bursaspor. In August 2013 Karaman was released from the club.
