Ion Caras is a Moldavian football manager. He was born in 1950 and spent his playing career in FC Aeroflot Irkutsk, FC Speranţa Drochia and FC Zimbru Chişinău.
Ion Caras started his managerial career in Tighina-Apoel and then went on coaching FC Zimbru Chişinău, FC Agro-Goliador Chişinău, Nistru Otaci, Politehnica Chişinău and some other teams.
He took charge of the Moldova national team from 1991 till 1997 and then he returned to coaching national team in 2012.
